Warren Highlands Trail: Ragged Ridge

THE WARREN HIGHLANDS TRAIL is administered by Spruce Recreation Area and extends from Allamuchy State Park to Marble Hill Nature Preserve. THE RAGGED RIDGE SECTION of the Warren Highlands Trail is your traditional hike through the forest up to the top of a mountain. The path includes a blend of old forest roads and narrow footpaths. All parts of the trail are blazed with paint markings (either yellow or sky-blue) on the trees. Unblazed paths exist, please be mindful that the unblazed trails often lead to private property at the edge of the park boundary and stay on the blazed trails. Features include a historic Lenape communication site at the ridge top. TRAIL MAPS are posted in the bulletin boards and are available for download online.
