The main Pine Mountain Trail is a 23 mile foot travel only hiking and backpacking trail. There are 11 miles of connector trails that form 7 loops. Maps can be purchased online and mailed by US mail to you or one can purchase a map at the FDR park office. Dogs are permitted: BUT only on a 6' max leash anywhere in the park/trails (thus NO extender/reel leashes allowed.) Backpacking at named sites is by permit only (See Backcountry Camping on our website.)
